1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Homebuilder Information:
Business name, contact person, email address, billing data via Stripe, lot details, and Tarion enrolment numbers.
Homeowner Information:
Name, property address, phone number, email address, Tarion claim form records, deficiency descriptions, schedule availability, and photo uploads.
Trade Contractor Information:
Business name, contact details, email address, Work Order records, PO request documentation, and task completion records.
2. HOW WE USE AND SHARE DATA
Core Functionality:
We process data strictly to import claim data, issue Work Orders, process trade PO requests, display restricted task details to assigned trades, coordinate home access, and collect digital sign-offs.
Data Minimization for Trades:
Trade Contractors are only shown the lot address, photos, deficiency description, Work Orders, and homeowner contact info necessary to schedule and complete their specific assigned repairs.
Third-Party Service Providers:
We store data using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and process payments using Stripe. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
3. SECURITY & PIPEDA COMPLIANCE
3.1 Security Measures:
We implement SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit and database encryption at rest. Role-based permission controls restrict data access to authorized users only.
3.2 Access & Corrections:
In accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), users and homeowners may request access to or correction of their personal data by contacting our customer support at support@thebuidereye.com.
